The Tandym Group is Hiring an Infection Preventionist Near Greenwich, CT

A healthcare network in Connecticut is actively seeking a new Infection Preventionist for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Infection Preventionist will be responsible for participating in the management of a facility-wide Infection Prevention and Control program for the surveillance, prevention and control of infection.
Responsibilities:
The Infection Preventionist will:
  • Collect, analyze, and report data, the formulation and review of policies and procedures
  • Plan, implement, evaluate and revise infection prevention and control practices
  • Conduct outbreak and cluster investigations as indicated
  • Participate in employee education programs
  • Collaborate with the Infectious Disease physicians, Microbiologists, and other health care providers regarding infectious or employee health related issues
  • Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 3 years of Hospital Nursing experience with CT Registered Nurse (RN) license; or, Master's Degree in a Health-related field with their Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
  • Knowledgeable in regulatory requirements such as Joint Commission and CMS, and in Outbreak investigation
